A Mountain Rural Community
in the Heart of Cibola County, NM

5/13/2024: Letter from the Treasurer

Community members:  we are still working on getting QuickBooks and the website paid.  For the sake of financial oversight, we must get two signers on the bank account to process payments.  We are also working on getting all PMRPOA materials from Heather so that bills can be paid and incoming payments processed.

We will also be posting bank statements monthly for all to see and review.

For those that question how Directors were appointed please see your 1988 by-laws that have been filed with the state of NM.

As we can we will process payments, mail receipts, pay the electric bill for the community well and to pay for QuickBooks and the Squarespace-based website.

5/1/2024: OSO contractors are actively installing to-home runs of fiber optic from the street, presumably prioritizing existing customers at this time. If you are at home when they arrive you are advised to tell them if you have underground wiring or water pipes to avoid costly repairs.

If you would like fiber optic installed to your home/RV and it’s not yet installed, contact OSO at 505-600-3326 to let them know ASAP while the crews are still here. OSO Internet offers a vacation suspension option for those who don’t live year-round at PMR. Call the number above to discuss.

What is this place?

Pine Meadow Ranches is located in the heart of Cibola County, New Mexico amidst the beauty of the picturesque "High Desert" of the Great Southwest. Close to the western edge of the Rocky Mountains, at an elevation of 7,500 ft. Abundant with amazing flora and fauna not seen anywhere else. Giant sandstone edifices span the landscape, with traces of past volcanic activity from Mt. Taylor to the northwest.  A few miles up the road, you can experience a thrilling hike around "El Morro," the famous New Mexican rock where many conquistadors, and families traveling by wagon-train alike, all signed the rock from 1605 until 1857.  You can then trek up to the top of Heshoda Yałdo:a to see where Native-American people built their homes - as high up as possible, in order to feel secure, and savor the view.  At one time, many thousands of ancestors of the Zuni, “ Ino:de:kwe”, lived in the area, and remnants of their life can be found everywhere even in Pine Meadow Ranches!  Every sunset is spectacular, with colors that change every minute! After sunset, the sky becomes a magical window where the Milky-Way is so clear and the stars so abundant , you feel immersed in the universe and fully connected to the world around you!
